Description by Jelle

In our shed, I installed three shelves at the back and insulated the side walls, covering them with perforated hardboard to hang tools.

How I made this project

First, I measured the shed carefully and had the shelves cut to fit perfectly. I had to cut out a small corner for the pole myself. Then, I attached iron brackets at equal heights to the existing poles and secured the beams to them. The shelves were placed on these beams, and the beams ensure that everything doesn't sag too much. Overall, it became a sturdy construction, and I think it looks pretty good. I filled the space between the existing beams of the shed with glass wool, which can be easily cut to size with a knife. For covering, I used perforated hardboard. These were slightly shortened so that two of them fit perfectly in terms of height. I will attach a strip on top of them to hang heavier items, but lighter items can be hung directly on them. See the photos for the end result.

Dimensions of my DIY project

The shelves are 190.0 cm wide and 39.0 cm deep. The side walls are 239.0 cm.
